Mazars, the integrated international organisation specialising in audit and advisory services, will reflect upon the young African generation by delving into the topics of employability and entrepreneurship in this expanding market throughout the various conferences and workshops that will punctuate Les Rencontres Africa 2017.

Mazars will attend the 2nd edition of Les Rencontres Africa, which will take place from 2-6 October 2017. Building on the success of the first edition, which gathered more than 1,500 African leaders, Les Rencontres Africa will start in Abidjan on October 2nd and 3rd, and will follow in two destinations: Nairobi and Tunis from October 5th to 6th.

During this 2nd edition, Mazars will share its expertise throughout different conferences and workshops closely related to young African entrepreneurs. Innovation and entrepreneurship are important drivers and even essential for growth and development of the African continent. Many young entrepreneurs create great businesses but their inexperience tends to slow them down. Thanks to its culture of agility and entrepreneurship, Mazars helps companies of all sizes to invent new models and durably emerge.

Abidjan

Armand Fandohan, Managing Partner, and Anne Letretel, Consultant at Mazars in the Ivory Coast, will conduct a workshop on the theme: « Human Capital: key success factor for growth in Africa »

With a population that is going to double in the next 25 years along with a working-class to be multiplied by 10, key major challenges for governments and companies is training, in order to enhance competitiveness and raise the understanding of major stakes. Human capital is definitely a key element in this transition towards a more regulated and digitalised world.

Owen Koimburi, Managing Partner of Mazars in Kenya, will conduct an “Investors briefing” workshop focusing on investment and business opportunities for French investors wishing to develop their activity in Kenya.

What are the specific investment opportunities that investors can seize in Kenya and France? What are the challenges faced in these regions? Where are the major trade & investment opportunities found?

Owen Koimburi will also participate in a workshop session on the theme: “Migrating from paper environment to digital space: What opportunities?”

Kenya is one of the leading countries in East Africa when it comes to their vision of integrating ICT into the education system. The panel will discuss the use of ICT, the development of curriculum and the advantages of using digital content, e-learning and moocs to develop competency as well as skills.

Tunis

Mohamed Ali Elaouani Cherif, Managing Partner, Mazars in Tunisia, will participate in the closing-conference on the theme: “Training as a development vector and a facilitator for youth entrepreneurship»
